When Our Mind Feels Heavy

There are days when the mind feels like it is carrying too much.
Thoughts come and go, but they stay longer than they should circling around the same worries
Nothing feels wrong exactly yet everything feels heavy.

In those moments the best thing to do is often the simplest.
Step outside even for five minutes.
Feel the air on your skin, listen to the sound of something real, like wind trees or people talking
It does not fix everything but it softens the edges of what hurts.

Sometimes the weight we feel is not about what is happening right now, but about what we keep holding on to.
Memories we did not finish thinking about feelings we never allowed ourselves to feel.
Letting them rise for a moment even quietly can make the day a little lighter.

It is okay to pause to not be productive to not know what to do next.
The mind needs rest just as much as the body does.
The heaviness passes not by fighting it but by allowing it to exist until it slowly begins to fade.
